The Brochier Silk House

Since 1953, Maison BROCHIER SOIERIES has continued to be the benchmark in silk printing of artists' works for the greatest museums in the world.

Since 1890, the Brochier family has been perpetuating a tradition that began in the 16th century: the manufacture of exceptional fabrics and the printing of artist's squares. Since the creation of the workshop, four generations have succeeded one another, combining a deep taste for craftsmanship with a keen artistic sensitivity. The Brochier Soieries collection is rich in more than 100,000 textile designs representative of all periods and painting.

As Cédric Brochier, fourth generation of the family, says: "We are proud to say that since 1890 our silks have been designed, produced and entirely finished in France and especially in Lyon, by expert hands who work passionately while respecting the tradition and high quality that still today characterize Made in France products."

Lyon-style printing at the Atelier de Soierie, 33 rue Romarin Lyon, with Gérard and Cyril GENET.

Our squares are printed with the screen or Lyon printing technique which is inspired by the manual stencil process. The Jacquard weaving technique is still used for the production of shaped silk fabrics for haute couture and the creation of our ties and scarves.

By turning the pages of our unique catalogue where Dufy rubs shoulders with Monet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Frieda Khalo, Cocteau, Combas and Basquiat, we can only dream of appropriating a little of their genius by choosing one of their creations, transposed onto our natural silk scarves and ties.
